Judges and criminal defense attorneys (public and private utilize 1st Step Sober House on a daily basis. This keeps the 1st Step Sober House directors (Christopher Doherty and Richard Entriken) in the courthouse five (5) days a week. The 1st Step Sober House directors have developed such a demand for their program that they have had to expand twice since their humble beginnings. Today, they are again ready for expansion on a larger scale. They have a constant stream of “walk-in” clients as well as forty (40) in- custody clients waiting for beds compounded by an ever growing demand for their services.
