Human Growth Hormone (hGH)
The only age-reversing drug to
pass FDA approved, placebo-controlled, double-blind experiments
is hGH. More than 43,000 medical studies have been published
on hGH. Once so rare it cost over $10,000 per dose, it wasn’t
until the 1980’s
that a synthetic version was made which exactly duplicates
human production of GH. Finally in 1990 hGH was
medically demonstrated to literally reverse the aging process. Published
in the New England Journal of Medicine (July 5, 1990) Dr.
Daniel Rudman, MD summarized, “The effects of six
months of human growth hormone on lean body mass and adipose-tissue
mass were equivalent in magnitude to the changes incurred
during 10-20 years of aging.”
Furthermore, “The
overall deterioration of the body that comes with growing
old is not inevitable. We now realize that some aspects of
it can be prevented or reversed.”
This opened the door
to much more research internationally, but it wasn’t
until 1996 that our FDA allowed hGH to be used for adults
within the US. Here we have the ultimate “fountain
of youth”. Human Growth Hormone is “proven” to:
(1) Increase muscle
mass and weight loss without diet or exercise.
(2) Reduce or eliminate cellulite and adipose
tissue.
(3) Increase energy levels and reduce or eliminate
arthritic pain.
(4) Increase sexual performance and pleasure
in both men and women.
(5) Regenerate the heart, liver, kidneys, spleen
and other organs.
(6) Increase cardiac output, respiratory function,
immune function, and kidney function.
(7) Lower blood pressure
(8) Increase athletic performance
(9) Increase skin and hair growth, removing wrinkles
and grey hair.
(10) Improve
sleep patterns
(11) Improve
vision
(12) Improve
mood
(13) Improve
memory
(14) Improve
cholesterol profile
(15) Improve
wound healing
Human GH has been used successfully
to extend the lifespan and relieve the discomforts
of cachexic (wasting-away) cancer patients. There are anecdotal
testimonies of cancer patients who “healed” spontaneously
while using hGH.
Also since the late 1990’s
HIV+/AIDS patients who are cachexic (wasting away) have successfully
used hGH injections to successfully prevent their rapid demise.
In
addition to the benefits listed above, researchers have had
success improving congestive heart failure, chronic obstructive
pulmonary disease, emphysema, osteoporosis, kidney failure,
obesity, menopause, muscular dystrophy, bleeding gastric
ulcers, and nocturia (night-time urination often related
to an enlarged prostate).
Some researchers believe it best
to begin checking your IGF-1 levels in your 30’s
and consider hGH treatments at reduced levels and frequency,
especially if you have lower levels for your age. Perhaps
it is better to prevent disease, rather than try to reverse
it.
Medical Uses for hGH
Growth failure in children, associated
with GH deficiency and growth failure related to chronic
renal insufficiency, and Turner syndrome.
Adults with GH deficiency
related to pituitary disease or damage.
People with the wasting
(cachexic) syndrome associated with cancer, HIV/AIDS.
Medical
Contraindications for hGH
Subjects
with acute, critical illness due to complications following
open heart or abdominal surgery, other traumas or acute respiratory
failure.
Subjects with closed epiphyses;
sensitivity to benzyl alcohol (preservative); evidence of
neoplastic activity (treatment should be completed before
beginning hGH).
Potential Side-Effects for hGH
Side
effects that are usually associated only with high doses
of hGH(above 7ius’ daily) include: swelling
(esp. hands & feet), musculoskeletal discomfort (pain
or stiffness), carpal tunnel syndrome, cardiomegaly (enlarged
heart), acromegaly (gigantism), increased insulin resistance,
gynecomastia (painful breast swelling [men too]).
Subjects
with diabetes should be closely monitored and may need to
adjust insulin dosage
